My Veneers Keep Breaking and Crumbling. Is This Normal?

Q.
I recently had composite veneers on my top front teeth 6 in total and want them redone by a different dentist in January, as they don’t look right. The colour is completely off and the surface is very uneven. Is this normal? They have also broken off and crumbled twice and I’ve had to go back. The first time I tapped one when I drank from a cup and it literally disintegrated – surely this isn’t normal? They are also not straight and two teeth are now wobbly with gaps, which I didn’t have before, and I have healthy gums.Thank you in advance for any advice you can offer.

Hello, thank you for your question. I would recommend when having composite veneers that a cosmetic dentist of great experience and skill in this field is used. You shouldn’t have been having so many problems with your veneers so I would definitely suggest you seek out a qualified dentist with vast experience in placing veneers. Regards, Mark.
