My Teeth are Very Small and Weak. What is the Best Treatment for Me?

Q.
Good afternoon Dr Gambroudes, please give me some advice. I have very small teeth, they are very weak and brittle. They are also discoloured. Also, I have an overbite and gaps between all my teeth. What treatment would fix my teeth? And how much would it cost roughly? Also, if I need to wear braces, which ones would I need? You see, my current dentist said I cannot wear traditional metal braces due to my teeth being so weak, so it could damage them. Would crowns or veneers cover my overbite and give me bigger teeth with no gaps between them? I really need help as my teeth are my biggest insecurity and flaw. Thank you in advance.

Hi, thank you for your question. Veneers can make teeth bigger and close the gaps, but braces a better option if you are a good candidate. The best thing to do would be to find a qualified orthodontist and cosmetic dentist in your area and book a consultation. Then you will be able to get a good idea of what kind of treatments you need, and how much it’s likely to cost. Thank you.
