My Husband Has Chipped His Bridge And Had To Wait Awhile For It To Be Repaired. What Other Options Are Available?

Q.
Hi Dr Shaffie. My husband has a bridge on his front teeth. One of them chipped on the bottom right side corner. He has had a hard time getting an appointment and when he did, he was told he could only get dentures or implants. They had him come back the following week, then only cleaned the teeth. The next appointment was for some kind of temporary repair, isn’t for another month. Can’t the chip be fixed? What are the other options and what kind of price are we talking about? He isn’t having a lot of pain, however it makes him very self conscious and he wants to get it taken care of as soon as possible. Thank you for your time and your advice.

Hello and thank you for reaching me. Sometimes you can repair a bridge but it’s not a permanent option. A 3 tooth bridge with implant costs around £4500. I would have to see your husband personally to see what treatment options to go through with. Thank you and best of luck, Dr Hussein Shaffie.
