My Gums Have Receded Badly Due To Periodontal Disease, Is There Anything That Can Help Them Grow Back?

Q.
Hi

I have some receding gums at the back of my mouth due to periodontitis.

Do you know of anyone using stem cells to regenerate gums as I have heard trials are taking place already to help grow back the gum area? I am desperate to receive some sort of treatment before they start looking really bad. My teeth have already begun feeling very sensitive and my gums are constantly bleeding. It’s very worrying and I’m trying to get the disease under control. I was wondering if you know of any other treatments to help with gums as I have black marks on mine which is due to probably smoking but I would like to know if they can ever go back to pink again? Anything at all? Thanks in advance.

Hello there and thank you for your question. There are numerous grafting procedures that might be suitable for you. Why not meet with a periodontist who specialises in this field and who has a lot of experience in grafting procedures? I hope this helps!
