My front teeth are crowded, is their a way of fixing them without orthodontics?

Q.
I have a very crowded set of front teeth, my front two are gappy and the spaces either side are not big enough to fit my ext two teeth so they are behind the front two, the rest are not too bad its just this, it does begin to hurt sometimes when i eat also, i started to have a brace as a child, this is the retainer to start off the process this led to my jaw clicking in and out of place everytime i ate and terrible nose pain, when i told this to my orthadontist she told me it was normall, i stopped wearing the brace, and now i am left like this, is there any way i could have this sorted without having to wear a brace?
A.
It doesn’t sound likely but you could ask a cosmetic dentist about the possibility of veneers to make the teeth look straight.
