I Think My Jaw Has Lowered Recently. What Can I Do To Fix This?

Q.
I’ve recently noticed that my jaw has begun to look like its on a angle, am not sure whether it has always been like this, but from what I can remember this is something that has happened recently and I can’t take my mind of it, I constantly try and place my top teeth on top of my bottom teeth so they go straight but my jaw seems to of lowered, why is this? If I place my top fang directly on top of my bottom fang on my left hand side I can almost push my finger through the gap on the other side of my mouth, if I place my fang directly above my other fang tooth on the right side there is no gap at all, am beginning to become really self conscious because of this, I’m pretty sure this has just came about in the last few months, what can I do about this?

Hello and thanks for getting in touch. I understand your concerns, but to reassure you, I feel it is very unlikely that your jaw has moved in such a short space of time. Quite often the upper and lower jaws do not meet in perfect harmony and every individual is different. I would strongly suggest booking an appointment to see a dentist and they can carefully examine your teeth and jaws and hopefully put your mind at rest. I hope this is helpful and i wish you all the best. Regards Marcus Gambroudes.
