I Need Implants As I May Lose My Next Placement As A Student Nurse. Could I Get NHS Funding For Implants?

Q.
Hi Marcus. Could you please tell me if my situation would warrant funding of NHS for implants as I’m desperate. I am a student nurse and have been told that I may not be able to attend my next placement due to teeth missing at the front of my mouth (I tripped and had a small rake in my hand that hit me in the mouth).
I am pretty devastated as not only have I lost teeth I may lose my place. Hope to hear from you soon and thanks in advance for any help you can offer me.

Hello and thank you for getting in touch. It would be considered cosmetic so you wouldn’t get them for free, however you may want to try and get referred to a dental hospital through your dentist at lowered rates. This can take some time however, so you may need to weigh up what’s better in the long run, and pay for the implants. Look for clinics online who may have offers or deals on this type of work. I hope this works out for you, best of luck. Dr Marcus Gambroudes.
