I Have Been Quoted The Sum Of £1000 For Two Fixed Bridges. Is This A Fair Price?
Dear Mark. I have been quoted the sum of £1000 for two fixed bridges on the upper teeth. Is this a fair price? I am returning to my dentist today to get a breakdown of the costs involved.
My jaw is not suitable for implants.
Could you suggest any other options for replacing these teeth please? Also how long does a dental bridge last as I am concerned that I may have to pay this amount of money again in a few years.
Thank you.
The answer about the costs and whether or not they are ‘fair’ or good value really require some further questions first:
What level of quality are you paying for?
How experienced, skilled and qualified is the dentist carrying out the work?
Is this NHS or Private?
How fantastic an aesthetic result are you buying?
How long is this treatment expected to last?
For exceptionally high quality treatment this would be exceptionally cheap. Two fixed bridges in a London practice of high merit would average around the £6000 level. My initial thoughts are that this is a quote for basic treatment from a non-specialised dentist and possibly NHS level, not extra high quality cosmetic dentistry. I hope that helps. Whether or not it’s good value or fair or not really depends on your expectations to be honest
Regards, Mark.
