How Reliable Are Cantilever Bridges As An Alternative To Implant Placement?

Q.
Hello Dr Hussein Shaffie, Could you tell me how reliable are cantilever bridges as an alternative to implant placement? More specifically, in a situation where an implant has failed once? In the situation, there were two implants placed next to each other, and one failed. These are two of the front teeth, the lateral incisor and canine. The canine implant is still there, but the incisor implant failed. What do you recommend as the best option for someone interested in a more permanent solution than a retainer with teeth? Thank you for any advice you can offer.

Hello and thank you for your enquiry. A new implant of course is a better option and a more long lasting option to consider. As long as the canine implant is long and stable I think you can could consider having a cantilever bridge. I would have to see you in person to give a more detailed assessment however, I hope this helps. Many thanks, Dr Hussein Shaffie.
