How long will it take for my gums to heal after having 15 teeth extracted?

Q.
How long does it normally take for gums to heal after an extraction of 15 teeth before someone can be fitted for dentures. I know that there are some places that do immediate dentures but i can’t afford that. I am going to get my teeth extracted next week there are 15 teeth all together one has a cap and one is a wisdom tooth. I don’t want to be without teeth for a long time so if you could please just give me an estimated time i would greatly appreciate it. Thank you for your time.

Usually it’s best to have an immediate set fitted and then the inside of the denture relined or refitted several months later. If you wait until later on then it will be months before you have any teeth. The denture should not cost any more by having it placed immediately, only the reline might costs a small amount in addition. If dental implants are used then the costs will rise very significantly though.

Please ask advice from the dentist who is removing your teeth but from my experience it’s best to have an ‘immediate’ set fitted
