How long can I keep wearing retainer?
Q. Hello , well to get straight to the point iv actually had braces for about 2 and half years and are currently wearing retainers both bottom and top which can be removed.Now all my treatements from the orthodontic has been completed and he has told me that i am fully incharge of what i may do with my teeth i currently still wear them for the whole day.the only problem is i dont know as to when i can stop wearing them becuase they’ll end up bending again and its only one tooth at the front now as regards to cosmetic dentistry would it be possible to get that particular tooth straightened ?,
A. I have had braces in the past and I wore my retainers full time for 3 years after my fixed braces came off and now I continue to wear my retainer every night only. My teeth have ever so slightly moved but not enough for me to worry about. Everyone is different in how their teeth are going to move.
