Hi Dr Patel, I’m 14 And Would Really Like To Become A Dentist. What Subjects Do I Need To Aim For To Achieve This?

Q.
Hi, Dr Patel. I want to ask you something. I’m 14 years old and I would really like some kind of a guide to achieving a degree in dentistry, such as the type of subjects I would need to study and what levels in each subject to get? At the minute I have picked: Triple Science, French, Business Studies, Maths, English, and Geography would you say some of these subjects will help me? Also I would like to know what A-LEVEL levels I need to get to be allowed to take the dentistry course because in so interested in becoming a dentist. I so hope you can help me, thank you in advance.

Hi, I’m glad you’ve taken the time to seek my advice, some of the those subjects may help, but I more specifically you need the sciences for dentistry at A-level, Chemistry, Biology with either Physics or Maths. I hope you continue with your wishes to become a dentist, I’m sure you can make if you put the effort and dedication in. Many thanks, Dr Riten Patel.
