My Cerec Was Tightened And Now It Is Causing Major Issues, Help?

Monday, April 22nd, 2013
Q.

Since I’ve had the cerec put in I have awful toothache and it feels like it is set too high. Also there is what looks like discoloration at the gum line a the front. It hurts when I bite down. I am on pain killers to relieve the pain. I have a denture plate that attaches to the cerec and I’m unable to wear it. Originally it was loose and would move around so my dentist tightened it and now it feels very tight. Help.
I am really reluctant to go back. He has said I have gingivitis so I booked an appointment with a hygienist who said my teeth and gums were in pretty good shape .HELP !!!

Where Can I Find A Good Dentist In Cardiff?

Friday, January 18th, 2013
Q.

Hi Dr.Andrew Moore, I am suffering with chronic tmj at the moment and awaiting a splint. Is there a really good dentist that you could recommend in the Cardiff or Vale of Glamorgan area that can help me as I am unable to eat properly now. I have been doing loads of reading as I await an emergency dentist. I never realised what was happening to me over the years and I hope I can sort it asap. I have had this chronic problem since my wisdom teeth arrived and were removed 24 years ago and I know there are treatments that raise the height of the bite that aid in jaw movement. I am on the NHS waiting list but it is proving to be so long and I am in agony as my hearing is going and everyday is geting harder to bear.
Hope you can help. any advice you can give would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to reading your response. Thank you

I Had A Bad Experience With A Dentist And Have A Very Painful Tooth. Will The Dentist Make The Pain Worse Poking Around At It?

Tuesday, January 8th, 2013
Q.

Hello Dr,
I am 6 1/2 months pregnant and my upper back tooth is quite sore. in fact i am in intense pain everynight. Before pregnancy this tooth has a hole in it and a few years ago it gave me problems. However, I have maintained it myself as I had a horrid experience with a dentist when I was 19. I am 28 years old now. Can you advise me on what i should do. I am currently taking amoxcillin 250mg three times a day prescribed by my GP. Any advice and possible dental treatment that I could get when pregnant would be most appreciated. My concern is that after a trip to the dentist and poking at this tooth, i will be left is worst pain than i am in now.
Many thanks,
