Sample News Big

Dental patients in Worcester have expressed their shock at the impending closure of a local NHS dental practice.

Patients recently learned that St John’s Dental Practice will close at the end of May. Patients have been informed that the current NHS contract will come to an end on the 27th of May and the surgery will subsequently close for good.

A statement on the practice website confirmed the closure and apologised to patients for any inconvenience the situation would cause. The statement also confirmed that employees have been made aware of the decision and every effort is being made to ensure their rights are respected. Representatives were also keen to ensure that patients are aware that the practice is shutting down due to the end of the contract. There are no issues related to the quality of care.

The announcement has left many local patients feeling disappointed. Dines Green resident Kerry Powell said she was very upset to find out the surgery will close. She has already been forced to move practices in the past due to changes in contracts and now she has had to look for another local surgery. Thankfully, she has been able to find a place, but said she worries for those who don’t drive and struggle to get out and about.
