Wincanton Dentist to Run Half-Marathon for Teenage Cancer Trust

Sample News Big

A dentist from Wincanton is preparing to run in the Bath Half-Marathon to raise money for a cancer charity, in memory of his mother who he lost to the illness.

Tim Lindop from Wincanton Smile Centre has teamed up with Leire Gomez de Segura, a fellow dentist, to run the half-marathon and raise money for the Teenage Cancer Trust.

Tim feels that although cancer is a devastating illness at any age, it is especially so for people so young. It can affect the entire family, which is why he has chosen to support the Teenage Cancer Trust.

The dentist is running to raise money in memory of his mother, Angela Lindop, and has started to train in order to prepare himself for the event, which takes place on Sunday, 1st March.

He said that he’s gotten more into fitness recently and wanted a challenge. He has never done anything like this before, and thinks it will be a good way to raise money for an excellent cause.

If you’d like to make a donation to support their efforts, go to www.justgiving.com/thewincantonsmilecentre. Alternatively you can make a donation to the practice, which is located on 28 High Street, Wincanton.
