White wine is far worse for teeth than red wine

New research is suggesting that white wine can actually cause more damage to your teeth than red wine.
Everybody knows that a few glasses of red wine can leave your lips and teeth a delicate shade of purple but now scientists believe that white wine is far worse for your dental health.
The Daily Express reports that if teeth have drawn out contact with white wine the calcium layer which protects your chompers will erode at a much quicker rate than if it they are exposed to red wines.
Boffins from the Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany, studied the effects of eight red and white European wines on human teeth.
The extracted teeth, which came from patients between the ages of 40 and 65, were left in a variety of wines for up to 24 hours.
Researchers measured the layer of enamel on the teeth before and after the experiment to study the effects of the wine and it was discovered that white wines were far more erosive.
