West Virginia dentistry gets state office?

Sample News Big

West Virginia dentistry could soon be getting its own state department which would tackle oral health issues in the region.

It has been widely reported that West Virginia is ranked as having the worst dental care in America and lawmakers have said something has to be done to remedy the situation.

Chairman of state health Senator Roman Prezioso, said that West Virginia had been fighting this issue for decades and claimed that good teeth are not only good for people’s health but their employment prospects too.

The proposed state office, which is by-no-means a done deal, would consist of a team of dental professionals who would link dental practices, schools and community groups and promote the importance of dentistry and oral hygiene.

This idea would be a marked improvement on the existing oral health awareness program as it would have full-time employees and would offer things like screenings and dental insurance./p>
