Wargrave dental practice expands

A dental practice in Wargrave, Berkshire, has added a third treatment room.

Wargrave Dental Clinic opened eight years ago and is run by husband-and-wife team, Dr Ranju Kharana and Dr Ana Chadha. Since the couple took over the practice, they have set about working on ambitious expansion plans. As well as adding a third practice room to the surgery, the owners have also invested in a state-of-the-art scanner with 3D imaging technology.

The dentists live in the village and have two children. Dr Chadha specialises in fitting removable prosthodontics, including dentures, and Dr Kharana is an implant surgeon and prosthodontist.

The extra treatment room will enable both dentists to work at the same time as a dental hygienist, increasing the number of appointments available for patients.

Dr Kharana said that the new scanner will make a huge difference at the practice. Previously, the dentists would have to refer patients to other practices or centres and often, there were significant waiting times.

With the new scanner, patients can have X-rays on-site, rather than having to travel to places like Harley Street. Waiting times will be cut dramatically and patients can have all their appointments in the same place. The practice will also be taking referrals from other clinics in the area.

The couple has also welcomed Dr Ash Menon to the team. Dr Menon will diagnose and treat conditions that affect the mouth, face, neck and jaw.
