A dentist from Bristol has urged residents to register for dental treatment on the NHS after the British Dental Health Foundation revealed that people who visit the dentist on a yearly basis decrease their risk of tooth decay by 60 percent.

mydentist is located in Staple Hill at 38 Victoria Street and is part of the largest dental care provider in Britain.

Lynn Cottle, practice manager, said that she sees the impact on people’s teeth when they don’t go for regular check-ups and with available NHS places there is no reason for patients in the area not to register and receive frequent treatment.

She said that their practice is friendly and professional and they have a waiting room decorated in teal greens and warm greys. It is scented with jasmine to put patients at ease when they visit.

British Dental Health Foundation research has revealed that 31 percent of adults suffer from tooth decay and 29 percent experience dental pain on a regular basis.

The practice offers private and NHS dentistry from three different surgeries.
