The UK’s leading privately owned dental chain, Integrated Dental Holdings, is set to be put up for sale, according to news sources. The chain is expected to be valued at around £1 billion.

Reports state that Integrated Dental Holdings is set to be floated or sold through the stock market by the Carlyle Group, a private equity company based in the USA. The chain has 570 dental clinics across the UK and is expected to achieve a valuation of £1 billion.

Representatives from the Carlyle Group have reportedly invited investment firms to make bids for the role of overseeing the sale of the chain, with a deal expected to be done by the end of the year.

Integrated Dental Holdings employs around 2,500 people in the UK and provides a combination of private and NHS dental services. The chain also boasts a small number of specialist clinics.

Reports of the impending sale have been published by Sky News and further information about the possible sale of IDH is expected in the coming days.
