Truro Orthodontist Short-listed for Dentist of the Year Title

Sample News Big

An orthodontist from Truro, Cornwall, has been short-listed for the Dentist of the Year title.

Jeremy Peak has been nominated in recognition of his incredible work and commitment to his profession, after continuing to work from his hospital bed following a brain haemorrhage last year. The popular orthodontist was taken ill in June but continued to work from his hospital bed, arranging care for his patients.

Doctors told Peak that he would be out of action for six months, but the dedicated dentist arranged for his patients to undergo treatment in just four weeks.

This is the third time Peak has been short-listed for the award and he is hoping that the adage, ‘third time lucky’ will come true and his name will be announced at the British Dental Awards ceremony at the Lancaster London Hotel, which is due to take place tonight.

Peak is the owner of the River Practice Specialist Centre in Castle Street, Truro and he is widely respected by colleagues and admired by patients. His client list boasts Olympic hopeful, Tom Daley and cricketer, Lewis Gregory.
