Truro Dental Duo Hitting the Roads for Charity
A dentist and practice manager from Truro, Cornwall are preparing to hit the roads to raise money for charity. Dentist, Andy Ridout and practice manager, Alex Vining are taking part in the ‘Staples to Naples’ banger rally, a 3,500-mile open road challenge.
The dental duo will set off this weekend from Staples Corner in London and follow a 3,500 mile route through Switzerland, France and Italy until they reach their destination, Naples. The banger rally involves only cars that cost less than £250 and are more than 16 years old.
Alex and Andy, who work at the Oak House Dental Practice on St George’s Road, are taking part in the challenge in order to raise money for the South West’s Children’s Hospice. The duo has adopted the name of ‘The Oral Health Experts’ and looking forward to experiencing the challenge and seeing some amazing scenery. The main aim, according to Alex, is to reach Naples and return to London in one piece.
Friends and relatives will be keeping track of Alex and Andy’s progress on their website and donations are still being accepted.
