Friends and family have paid tribute to a 19 year old dental worker from Leyland; Hannah Bleasdale was found dead by her mother last week.

Hannah died suddenly at home last week and was found by her mother, Elaine. The family had enjoyed a barbecue together the day before and Hannah, who was just 19, had gone to bed early, saying that she tired. The day after, Elaine went into Hannah’s room, thinking that her daughter was having a lie-in, to find her dead.

Hannah suffered a blood clot in her brain three years ago but still managed to leave school with excellent GCSE results; she went on to secure a job at Towngate Dental Practice in Leyland and was an instant hit with patients and colleagues.

Elaine Bleasdale described her daughter as “caring and generous” and thanked friends, family members and the wider community for their support and well wishes at this difficult time; Hannah touched many people and was a lively and loving girl with a very bright future.

Hannah had recently taken up horse riding and she was a keen dancer; she was also planning to realise a lifelong dream of swimming with dolphins and had booked a holiday to the Dominican Republic with her boyfriend, Oliver, for later this month. Oliver said that he hopes she is now “swimming with dolphins in heaven” and described the moment he first saw her at a friend’s party five years ago; he said he thought she was gorgeous and the two became friends.

Elaine said that the family was still in shock after Hannah’s sudden death and added that she will never be forgotten.
