Tributes Pour In For Retired Salisbury Dentist Who Died On Holiday

Tributes have been pouring in for a retired dentist from Salisbury who died while on holiday in France.

Martin Moss worked at a practice on St Ann Street for more than 35 years before taking retirement in 2005. Mr Moss was an active member of the community and was part of the Local Dental Council, as well as a keen supported of the local quiz and darts leagues. Mr Moss was also a train enthusiast and he was a member of the Salisbury and South Wilts Railway Society for many years.

Mr Moss studied dentistry at Sheffield University and it was during his time here that he met his wife, Elizabeth. The couple went on to have three children and Mr Moss also had two grandchildren.

After moving to Salisbury, Mr Moss became a very popular dentist and over the course of his 35 year career he got to know hundreds of patients, often treating several generations of the same family.

As news of Mr Moss’s death broke, former colleagues and friends paid tribute. It is believed that Mr Moss passed away while holidaying with his wife in France.
