The Sex Pistols Star’s Dental Nightmare
Legendary punk rocker John Lydon is going to have dental surgery because he is worried that the rotten teeth he has may kill him. The Sex Pistols singer, otherwise known as ‘Johnny Rotten’ was named this because of his decayed, rotten teeth during the seventies. Now he is seeking to change this by seeking medical attention and surgery to make his oral health better.
The singer suffered from a double abscess at the start of the year which turned sour. He had to have an operation which unfortunately left him with a speech impediment in the short-term. This was due to having stitches in the mouth after having an operation on his mouth. Now he is about to have serious oral surgery due to a dentist informing him that if he left his gums untreated and did not seek dental help soon the infections and other medical problem associated with oral infections could kill him.
John spoke to a newspaper and told them that he is having teeth put in to take the place of teeth that have been missing for while. This could be dental implants, which are metal rods implanted into the jaw, or maybe crown and bridge work. He told reporters that he was informed by a dentist that just one more abscess in his mouth could be fatal.
