Swansea dental clinic to expand following relocation

A dental clinic in Swansea is preparing to welcome new patients and provide new treatments after relocating to larger premises in the city.

The Brynhyfryd Dental Practice has moved to a commercial office unit and will now be able to offer a more extensive treatment list. The premises are located on Ysgubor Fach Street and the owner has recently completed a 6-week refurbishment project.

The move was made possible by a funding package from Lloyd’s Bank, which is part of a pledge to lend up to £1.1 billion to support Welsh businesses in 2020.

Dr Gareth Crowther, a former associate of the practice, has taken over ownership and he is looking forward to expanding the range of services on offer and welcoming new patients to the clinic. The new facility is larger and more spacious, and it will allow Dr Crowther to run four surgeries. There is a brand new decontamination suite and the team has ambitious plans to offer treatments, including dental implants, facial aesthetic services and cosmetic braces.

Dr Crowther, who took over the practice in 2017, said that the former premises were getting tired, and moving seemed like the obvious way to modernise and update the service list and expand the business. Dr Crowther described the office unit as a ‘blank canvas’ and said that it was perfect for creating a stylish, cutting-edge practice in the heart of the city.
