Sample News Big

Last weekend, Capehart Family Dentistry gave back to the community as part of the Capehart Cares Free Dentistry Day.

Operations leader and dental hygienist Melisa Ging said that it was the largest turnout in the event’s entire four year history. She said that in the past they say between 80 and 90 patients, but the team had twice as much room this time to help them try to reach the goal of 120.

Although they didn’t quite reach their goal, the team saw 102 patients and were extremely happy with the turnout.

Ms Ging said that more than $25,000 was donated in dental care on the day. There were also food and money donations from local business to support the project. The doors opened at 8am and patients had been lining up since 5am.

The hygienist said that so many people have limited dental care access and a large proportion of oral diseases are not treated. Capehart Family Dentistry are always happy to give back to the community during events like this.
