Stonehaven Dentist Helps To Bring Smiles To Cancer Patients

A dentist from Stonehaven has helped to bring smiles to cancer patients by donating a therapy bed.

Kenny Jones, owner of the Arduthie Dental Practice in Stonehaven, donated the therapy bed to help patients with cancer. In his day to day practice, Dr Jones comes across many people with cancer and he wanted to do something to help. He visited the local CLAN office on Robert Street and asked if there was anything he could help out with; he noticed that the therapy bed was on its last legs and looking tired, so he decided to buy a new one for the Stonehaven office.

The new luxury therapy bed will make it easy for patients to enjoy therapies such as reflexology, massage and reiki. It has an electric pedal to adjust the height and make it easier for patients to get on and off the bed.

Dr Jones has seen the struggles cancer patients face at first hand after losing his mother to the disease and he is pleased that his donation is already making a difference to patients.

The CLAN office provides a place for patients with cancer and their families to come together, talk and enjoy a cup of tea and the centre provides a great source of support for many people in the local area. Staff and patients at the centre said that they are very grateful to Dr Jones for his kind donation.
