Southport Dentist Celebrates Best Young Dentist Award
A dentist from Southport is celebrating after winning Best Young Dentist (North West) at the Dentistry Awards.
28 year old dentist Dr Stephen Dodd from 10Dental was awarded the accolade in recognition of his professional achievements since graduating from the University of Manchester five years ago. Dr Dodd has been at the practice located on Scarisbrick New Road since graduating.
The Best Young Dentist award is open to all dentists under the age of 35 years old and recognises their skill and contribution to the dental industry, the winner being chosen by a panel of eleven experts.
Dr Dodd beat off competition from many other dentists to win the award presented at an awards ceremony at the Athena in Leicester last month.
Since graduating Dr Dodd has completed postgraduate hypnotherapy training and is currently working towards a Master’s qualification in Restorative Cosmetic Dentistry at the University of Central Lancashire.
Dr Dodd said he was delighted to win the award and added that he always tries to give his patients the best possible standard of care. His boss and the owner of 10Dental, Dr Garmory, said the award was well-deserved and added that the practice is fortunate to have the region’s best young dentist on the team.
