Members of staff at a Somerset dental practice are celebrating, after receiving a BDA Good Practice Award.

The College Street Dental Practice in Burnham on Sea was awarded the prize, after complying with standards set by the British Dental Association. Members of staff have been working towards the Good Practice Award for the last eighteen months and during this period of time have attended training courses and retreat days. They have also hosted staff meetings to ensure that everyone was working towards the same goal.

The Good Practice Scheme involves providing consistently high standards of patient care and showing commitment to continued professional development and is designed to reward the entire dental team.

The practice hosted a celebration event in honour of the good news and the Mayor, Michael Clarke and his wife were in attendance. Local MP Tessa Munt presented the award to the dental team.

In his acceptance speech, practice partner Colin Taylor, thanked everyone for attending and praised the work of all the members of the dental team.
