Software of Excellence, Excellent Choice for Dental Pilot

Software of Excellence has been chosen as one of three companies to develop software for the Department of Health during the current pilot scheme, involving 62 dental practices for the new contract for the NHS.

Software of Excellence is a computing company, specialising in dental systems and its groundbreaking software, EXACT has been chosen as one of the softwares of choice during the current pilot scheme to determine the new NHS contract. Of the three, Software of Excellence has been given by far the majority, 35 out of the total of 62.

This large demonstration of faith as been attributed to the company’s history of seamless integration, flexibility and impressive, international market coverage, which stretches from a dominance in the UK, Ireland, Australia and New Zealand, to a continuously growing team in countries as far afield as Singapore, Chile and Malta.

The company estimates that around 7500 systems currently use their software and have invested an impressive ten million pound into research and development. The company are looking forward to working with the NHS in the hopes that their system will become a forerunner in NHS Dental practices around the country.

Faith Jenkin, Product Manager at Software of Excellence has spoken highly of the pilot and claims that the challenge of the software is “to deliver a software solution that meets the needs of the Department, but one that is efficient and streamlined and does not place unnecessary administrative burden on the practice.”

The pilot is still in early stages and the Software of Excellence team are currently working to train dentists and staff at the practices that their software EXACT will be used in. During this time they also hope to use the reactions of these practices to work with the Departments of Health and NHS Dental to further improve and develop their software.
