Sleaford dental practice set to expand

Sample News Big

The owners of a dental practice in Sleaford have applied for planning permission to create new facilities to increase capacity.

If the plans get the green light, Sleaford Smile Centre will relocate from Boston Road to new premises in Lions Way. The existing practice is located in a large red brick building, which has “limited space” and no room for extension or development. The statement accompanying the proposals also suggests that the building gets too hot in the summer months, which is uncomfortable for patients and the staff team.

The new location, which is part of an industrial estate, would provide more space and the option to add air conditioning and state of the art dental equipment. The owners had considered relocating to another building in North Gate but decided that the bespoke, purpose-built site represented the best option.

The new practice covers the same catchment area and would provide ample parking and access to brand new facilities, which would be more practical and comfortable for staff and patients.

If the plans are approved by planning officers at North Kesteven District Council, the practice will open close to other local businesses, including Kirk’s Vets, St John’s Ambulance, the Trampoline Club and Agra restaurant.

The panel will make a decision by Monday 19th September.
