Sheffield Dental Group Celebrate Success
Sheffield dental group, 3SL, is celebrating after being crowned winner of the Sheffield Newspapers Local Business Accelerators initiative.
3SL, which is based on Norfolk Row, was founded 15 years ago by husband and wife team David and Jennie Ward. David is a qualified dentist and has a Master’s degree in Business Administration, while Jennie is a specialist in Restorative Dentistry. The couple runs a business offering both private and NHS dental care from two locations in Dronfield, as well as the Sheffield surgery, which is launching a new approach to dentistry to try and make the experience of going to the dentist as relaxing as possible.
David Ward said that he is eager for patients to feel calm when they come to the practice, rather than dreading the experience.
3SL has won a prize, which offers business support, advertising and mentoring and will compete in the national competition, which is backed by newspapers across the country.
David and Jennie did a great deal of research before they opened their Sheffield surgery to try and improve the experience of visiting the dental practice for patients. They found that most people dread the sounds and smells of the surgery and so set about trying to work on ways to combat these problems in their new practice.
The couple vowed to cut waiting times to reduce anxiety and create relaxing, stress-free spaces to make patients feel at ease. They are now planning to use their knowledge to expand their business and develop an online business, which sells facial and dental products and are considering expanding the Norfolk Row practice.
