A Scottish dental firm has expanded its portfolio after acquiring a dental practice in Peebles.

Perthshire-based Infinityblu Dental Care and Implant Clinic has taken over Kingsmeadows Dental Practice in Peebles. The latest acquisition is a sign of continued growth, with the chain consolidating its presence in the Borders. The purchase price was £450,000.

The firm, which was established by Chris Barrowman, has taken over the patient list at the Peebles practice and has ambitious plans for the future. The previous owner, Richard Turton, founded the practice and is retiring after 25 years of treating patients in the town.

The move follows the acquisition of Duns Dental Practice in 2021. Infinityblu is expanding in the area and there are plans to add more practices and grow existing businesses.
Under new ownership, Kingsmeadows Dental Practice will offer new treatments in-house, including dental implants and orthodontics. Previously, the practice outsourced these services.

The acquisition of the Peebles practice is part of a growth strategy, with Infinityblu investing in four regions of Scotland. A new practice is set to open in Killin in August and the firm recently bought a practice in Fife.

Mr Barrowman, Infinityblu founder, said that he was “very excited” about the Peebles takeover. He praised the team, describing them as “really engaged and brilliant to work with” and said that he is looking forward to a bright future. The team is currently looking for a new dentist to replace Mr Turton, who will retire in the autumn.
Mr Barrowman revealed that the Infinityblu mission is “simple” and involves reinvesting in every new practice.
