A dental team from Romsey celebrated the first anniversary under new ownership recently.

Dr Kevin Hebenton took the reins at Romsey Dental Care in Station Road in August 2021. To mark a year of incredible achievements, the team organised a party on the 20th August. The event was a celebration of how far the practice has come under challenging circumstances in the aftermath of Covid and increased pressure on dental services.

To commemorate the landmark anniversary, staff invited patients, family members and friends to gather at the practice and raise a glass. During the last 12 months, the team has worked tirelessly to tackle backlogs and see as many patients as possible.

Practice manager, Laura Coleman, said that the new owner, Dr Hebenton, has modernised and upgraded the surgery while making every effort to retain its friendly and familiar feel. The building was “a little run down and in need of vital repairs” and patients and staff have reacted incredibly positively to improvements. The new comfortable chairs in the waiting room have been a big hit.

The party was an opportunity for the team to celebrate their accomplishments and enjoy a well-earned rest and it was also a chance to thank patients and friends and family for their support over the last 12 months.

In the next year, Dr Hebenton is hoping to modernise further with new equipment, including high-tech chairs. There are also plans to add a sterilisation room and a new staff room.
