A recipe book, which was compiled by the late Richard Horner, a well-known figure in the dental industry, is now available to download. All proceeds from the book will go to the British Dental Health Foundation’s Mouth Cancer Action Month campaign.

Richard was instrumental in the establishment of Mouth Cancer Action Month, which has become the biggest mouth cancer campaign.

Dr Nigel Carter, chief executive of the British Dental Health Foundation, paid tribute to Richard and said that he had made an “invaluable contribution” to the launch of Mouth Cancer Awareness Week and later Mouth Cancer Action Month.

The book, The Duck House Cookbook, contains a host of Richard’s favourite recipes; the final stages of the project were carried out in Richard’s final days and all the money raised from the sale of the book will go towards raising awareness of mouth cancer. There is a recommended minimum donation of £5.

Richard represented a host of dental companies and offered a range of services, from writing and editorial work to marketing and brand awareness.

He was a dedicated family man who was very passionate about helping others and raising awareness of mouth cancer, a disease that is becoming increasingly prevalent in the UK.
