Prima Dental has donated more than £85,000 worth of dental supplies and equipment to Ukraine.

The firm, which is a world-leading producer of precision instruments, has provided sufficient supplies to drill and fill teeth for six months.

Author, Leo Jurkiw, helped to oversee the donation. Leo liaised with staff at Prima Dental and took an active role in processing the funds in South East London before the supplies were sent to Ukraine.

Having conversed via email, Leo was keen to meet the team at Prima Dental in person following such a significant donation and he had a great day talking to staff involved in the operation and seeing the equipment being loaded onto trucks ready for delivery.

Prima Dental has experience in working with businesses and practices in Ukraine. Business has dried up in that part of the world since the conflict began, but Prima Dental did not want to turn its back on customers and decided to donate the equipment the company would usually sell to dental professionals.

Leo has been supporting Ukraine since the early days of the conflict and he recognises how important it is to keep the momentum going and ensure that people are aware of what is going on even when media coverage starts to shine a spotlight on other stories and the conflict moves down the agenda.

It is an important time to support Ukraine and make sure that Ukrainians continue to feel as though the UK and other countries are with them.
