Prestatyn set for new dental practice

Sample News Big

The seaside town of Prestatyn could be about to welcome a new dental practice if planning officers give plans the green light.

An applicant has submitted plans to open a new dental clinic at 5 Nant Hall Road. The premises were formerly used as a shop. If the change of use application is approved, the owner of the practice will create five full-time jobs and one part-time position.

The proposals indicate that the former shop will be modified and modernised to design a new entry and boundary wall. The windows will be replaced and the entire space renovated to create a functional, modern surgery. The clinic will have a spacious reception and waiting area, a new staff room and accessible toilets on the ground floor with three consultation rooms and a decontamination suite on the first floor. On the second floor, there will be a compressor room. Timber frames will be updated to uPVC.

The application will now be considered by planning officers at Denbighshire County Council. Plans to open a new dental practice are likely to go down well with residents amid access issues across North Wales. Providing more dental places will enable patients to access services locally and reduce waiting times. More information about the services available at the practice will be released in due course pending the outcome of the planning review.
