A North Jersey dentistry student has been arrested for allegedly forging a prescription for narcotic painkillers.

Twenty-four-year-old Robert Frega was arrested on 21 December 2009 at Walgreen’s Pharmacy, 655 Wyckoff Avenue, after he was apparently seen attempting to fill out a blank prescription and attempting to illegally acquire Percodan painkilling tablets.

Frega was reported by the pharmacy manager after a dentist confirmed that she had not written the prescription.

The dental assistant student had been working at a Riverdale dental practice in order to complete part of his degree.

It has been alleged that he stole the blank prescription from the practice and had attempted to acquire the Perdocan for foot pain that he was suffering from.

He has now been charged with forging official documents and obtaining controlled substances through fraud.
