Police Appealing for Witnesses After Dental Practice Robbery

Humberside Police are appealing for witnesses, following a robbery at Oasis Dental Care in Bridlington.

The surgery, which is located on Bessingby Way, was robbed between 18:45 on Wednesday 23rd November and 06:00 on Thursday 24th November, after the locking mechanism was removed from the side door.

Footprints at the scene show that thieves gained entry to the upper floor of the surgery and suggest that force was used to break through the security doors and locked areas. It is believed that the thief entered the reception area and stole a small safe, which contained prescription pads, wage slips, practice paperwork and £120 worth of postage stamps. Police have determined that the thief left through the fire escape.

Police arrested a 46 year old man in connection with the incident, who has now been released on police bail. Further enquiries will take place at the beginning of January 2012 and police are appealing for any witnesses to come forward and contact Humberside Police. Any information will be helpful for the inquiry and callers will be anonymous.
