Plans submitted to turn Staplehurst home into new dental practice

Plans to create a new dental practice have been submitted to Maidstone Council.

If the plans get the green light, the new practice will open in part of a residential property in Headcorn Road, Staplehurst.

The proposals relate to a house known as Chantilly, which would be extended at the rear and side to create space for a new dental practice while retaining the residential dwelling. The left side of the building would be used as a home and the right side, with new extensions, would function as a practice with three dental surgeries, a dental hygienist surgery and a children’s oral health advice centre.

The current property would be extended. A two-storey addition would be added to the back of the house with a single-storey extension added to the side of the building. The new practice would also have space for a large reception and waiting area, storage and an accessible toilet. Two extra parking spaces will be created at the front of the building.
The full details of the plans are available to view on Maidstone Council’s website. The applicant, Wole Adeyole, from Beacondent in Bromley, confirmed that the boundary fencing would be improved to ensure that neighbouring properties enjoyed more privacy.
