Plans for a New Dental Surgery in Forres

Sample News Big

The residents of Forres are feeling positive after hearing some good news, as earlier this week it was revealed that 140 new jobs would be created in the area and proposals for a new dental surgery have also been unveiled.

A local builder is proposing to open a new NHS dental practice, which will come as welcome news to locals, as access to dental services has been a problem in the past. There is currently a waiting list of between 600 and 700 people, which could be dramatically reduced if new dentists were encouraged to move to the area. With the addition of a brand new surgery, it is hoped that recently qualified dentists will find Forres an attractive option.

Locals have also been buoyed by the news that extra investment will be ploughed into the Capita Call Centre in Forres Enterprise Park and the investment will be provided by Highlands and Islands Enterprise.

There is also a great deal of excitement surrounding the news that Forres will host the European Pipe Band Championships in 2013, 2014 and 2015. The event involves more than 100 pipe bands visiting the area from all over Europe and is expected to bring many new visitors to Forres.
