A cosmetic dentist from London believes that he has found the secret to creating a perfect smile – it’s a sequence of numbers from the Da Vinci Code.

Harley Street-based Dr Tariq Idris, whose customers include Charlotte Church, wag Alex Curran and actress Joanna Taylor, believes that by measuring the ratio of teeth, smile and gumline the perfect smile can be created.

The code he is using, also called the divine proportion, is often used in architecture and art to create structures or images that are naturally pleasing to the eye.

This sequence is also an integral part of Dan Brown’s famous novel.

Dr Idris had the idea about using the code while studying some photographs and he is now employing the latest technology to make the equation work.

Using a new state-of-the-art putty, which resembles a tooth’s structure, lasers and microscopes he sculpts each tooth to the perfect shape for a clients smile.

Bobby Davro employed Dr Idris, who also treated the likes of Matt Dawson, Gavin Henson, Caprice and Linda Lusardi, to perform this treatment on him before he appeared on ‘Dancing on Ice’.
