One Direction’s Niall Celebrates Getting His Braces Off
Niall Horan, one fifth of the world’s most popular boy band, is celebrating getting his braces off. The One Direction star tweeted fans yesterday to tell them that he was on the way to the dentist to have his braces removed.
19 year old Niall excitedly tweeted, “This is it! I’m going to the dentist I think this is my last hour with braces! Oh how I’m gona miss them! Naaaaaaat! (sic).” Later in the day, he updated followers on his dental journey, posting a before and after photograph of his smile.
Niall, who reached the final of the X Factor in 2011 after being put together with bandmates, Harry, Louis, Zayn and Liam, by Simon Cowell, decided to have braces to correct his wonky smile and has since expressed his delight with his brand new smile.
Niall decided to have clear braces, rather than metal braces; clear braces are very discreet, making them a popular option for celebrities.
While Niall is celebrating his new, straight smile, the people at Madame Tussauds are not quite so pleased with the news. They have recently unveiled previews of the boy band’s waxworks and workers have painstakingly created braces for the Irish pop star. The models are due to go on display on April 18th; it is not known whether the brace will be removed on Niall’s wax work.
