Oasis dental clinics attract investor

A large investment firm is in negotiations to buy a stake in a chain of UK dental practices.

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG) is poised to acquire a stake in Oasis, which runs 170 dental practices across Britain.

Oasis was acquired in 2007 by buy-out firm Duke Street for £125million, who have been looking for another backer for several months.

This deal reportedly could cost ICG £25million if it goes ahead.

Any extra investment will reportedly be spent on expanding Oasis by buying small private dental practices.

This move would enable Oasis to make more cost savings and increase salaries for the dentists which it employs.
