Oasis Appoints DC Advisory in Preparation for Expansion

Sample News Big

Oasis, one of the UK’s largest dental chains and a provider of both NHS and private dental care, is set to expand. The company has appointed DC Advisory to seek out extra investment to fund the expansion plans, which could see the number of practices in the UK double.

Oasis currently runs 205 dental practices across the UK and the company believes it is a good time to start thinking about expanding the business. This is in light of recent investigations by the Office of Fair Trading which called for major shake-ups of the current system. The government is also currently working on a new NHS dental contract.

Justin Ash, the chief executive of Oasis, said that it was an excellent time to expand but the firm needs to secure extra investment to go ahead with plans to double the number of practices. Ash said that he had appointed DC Advisory to help with the investment plans, as he was unsure of the best route to pursue. He added that it was necessary to find an investment firm that was committed to Oasis’ “aggressive expansion plans.”

Mr Ash went on to say that hundreds of independent dental practices could be forced to sell-up as a result of tighter regulation and increased pressure on dentists to invest in their own practices. He believes that around half of the proposed target of 400 new practices could come from snapping up independent surgeries, while the other half will include new practices.
