Oakgrove Dentists Submit Planning Application to Open New Clinic

Sample News Big

Dentists in Oakgrove have submitted an application to open a new dental clinic in a unit next to the Waitrose store.

The application was sent in by Claydon Oakgrove Limited and relates to a ground floor business unit next to Waitrose in Oakgrove. The upper floors are currently occupied and the surgery would open on the ground floor.

The application contains information including proposed opening hours and staffing levels. The clinic would open 7 days a week and offer extended opening hours for shoppers and those who work full-time. The surgery would also open on bank holidays. Six-full time members of staff would work at the clinic. The planned opening times are 8am-8pm Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm on Saturdays and 10am-4pm on Sundays and bank holidays.

The planning application does not contain any plans for extra parking. Patients will presumably use the Waitrose car park.

Parking is already a concern, according to one local resident, Victoria Wells. In an interview with the local Milton Keynes press, she said there is already pressure on parking in the area and the opening of a dental surgery will make it even harder to find a space, especially at peak times. While she doesn’t object to a surgery opening, she said that it is important that parking issues should be considered.
