Marcus Jones, MP for Nuneaton, has welcomed news of a funding boost for health services in Warwickshire.

The Health Secretary has confirmed that Warwickshire Primary Care Trust will receive an additional 23.2 million pounds, taking the allocated funding sum to £852 million for 2012-2013.

Mr Jones said that the funding boost was excellent news and would benefit the people of Warwickshire. The money will be used to improve primary care services, including dental services, community and social care services and pharmaceutical services. The Nuneaton MP added that people in his constituency had raised the issue of community care many times and he was happy that extra money had been allocated to make the current service more effective.

Increased funding has been announced for Primary Care Trusts across the UK and dental patients are set to benefit, with a large amount of money being invested in dental services around the country. Dental experts are eager to focus on preventative dental care, which will prevent oral health diseases and cut the cost of dental care in the future.
