NHS Redbridge offering free dental check-ups
NHS Redbridge is offering free dental check-ups for five hundred patients.
The appointments will be allocated on a first come, first served basis and anyone who lives in Redbridge is welcome to attend.
Five hundred free check-ups are on offer and they will be given to the first 500 people who contact the Patient Advice and Liaison Team. NHS Redbridge is particularly keen to involve those who have not visited their dentist for a long time; regular check-ups are essential for good oral health and can reduce the risk of serious health problems significantly.
During the check-up, the dentist will take a good look at the patient’s teeth, identify any emerging or existing problems and scale and polish the teeth. Scaling and polishing is a cleaning treatment, which helps to remove plaque and tartar from the surfaces of the teeth and them polish them to give them a healthy shine. Patients who have dental problems will be advised to see their regular dentist to arrange further treatment.
