NHS East Lancashire Invites Dental Patient Feedback

Sample News Big

NHS East Lancashire is inviting dental patients to give their feedback and opinions on proposed changes to dental services in the area.

The trust is asking dental patients to air their views on changes to the way patients are referred to hospital. The proposals would mean that referrals were made through a central system and representatives from the NHS trust believe that this would make the system more efficient and effective. The changes will also ensure that patients are treated nearer to their home if they do not require hospital treatment, which should also reduce waiting times.

NHS East Lancashire is eager to emphasise that hospital treatment will be provided for those who need it. However, those who can be treated in the community will be able to access treatment closer to home and this will mean that hospital treatment will be more readily available for patients with special or complex needs.

The trust is urging local people to log onto the Internet and complete a short survey on their website. The survey will be available until Monday 3rd October.
